Sample itinerary
You fly to Dar es Salaam in Tanzania. Then you spend two nights at the beach. Then you fly with a domestic flight to Mwanza in the north of Tanzania. You will be picked up by Nuacas and then take the ferry to Sengerema. In Sengerema or another village on Lake Victoria, you will stay in an accommodation from NUACAS. Then you get to know the place for volunteering and you can get started. During your stay there is enough time to get to know the area and the people. On-site guidance is always available from NUACAS to make your time here comfortable.
After your period of volunteer work you would like to explore the country even further. NUACAS has developed a program for this that can show you the various beautiful places in the country.
First you go on safari to the Serengeti, the most famous nature park of Tanzania. You start your safari in Mwanza and enter the Serengeti via a less touristy route. After two days of Serengeti you will drive through the area of Ngorogoro crater. It is possible to enter the crater. Then you drive to Tarangire, the nature park with the most elephants in Tanzania.
After this overwhelming nature it is good to visit the city again. You will stay in Arusha, the safari city of Tanzania. There is enough time to get to know this city as well. After the safari and the city we travel on to the mountains. You stay in the village of Lushoto and can go hiking in the mountains or visit the rhinoceroses in Mkomazi.
At the end of your trip we will go to Bagamoyo an old swahili town on the Indian Ocean. Relax on the beach before your trip ends in Dar es Salaam.
The journey to conclude your volunteer work is 10 days. If you assume two weeks of volunteer work, the costs for this program are approximately € 2.495 per person. But this of course depends on your wishes and with how many people you are going to make the tour together.
